The Best Robot Hoover
The best robot hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention. It will leave your floors clean. Its price is surprisingly low and features that are high-end (such as dirt detection) are great features.
Check your robot's brushes frequently for tangled debris and hair. Clean them as needed. cheap robot vacuum cleaner can also self-empty the onboard dust bin and place it in a larger bin located at the base. This helps reduce the amount of fine dust released into the air.
1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. They are equipped with motors that are top-of-the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Similar to other iRobots that are premium (including the top model) they utilize intelligent mapping to design precise floorplans and avoid household obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also have a feature called carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it detects an abundance of dirt on the carpet in order to get it clean quickly.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on floors that were bare and are especially adept at cleaning hair from dogs. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is that its navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to getting stuck on shoes and socks, and it couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people well during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.
It's still a great deal particularly if your home or office has a lot of unfinished floors and you want to save some money. It's also extremely quiet and operates while you're at work or at school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on for long and don't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 comes with a self-emptying cradle, however. If you want to, you can switch the mopping pad for a dry one in seconds.
2. IRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can also mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean, and effective in tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also features a self-emptying dustbin as well as powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, though it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.
This high-performance vacuum and mop uses sensors that help it keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time to provide more efficient cleaning. The app lets you modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. It has a battery life that is comparable to other models.
robot vacuum cleaners is possible to instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and to extend them when in a carpeted room to prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm can also be used to reach beneath low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. However, it doesn't have the same level of washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Professional+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
In the course of testing, X30 Ultra was the most efficient robot vacuum/mop which could complete the task of cleaning a whole home with just 66 percent of its battery remaining. It also did an excellent job cleaning a variety of floors and rooms that had various flooring types, such as certain area carpets. Its obstacle detection was top-of-the-line, and it nimbly avoided fake dog socks, turds, shoes, and bundles of cables.
It's a little more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically emptys into its base, and it supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after it vacuums, a feature that we've not seen on other robotic vacuum/mop combos.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
With a sleek, circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competitors' boxes this robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most appealing looking in our evaluations. The latest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).
It's the only robotic vacuum/mop that has an exemplary 10/10 in our testing thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.
Like other iRobot models as well, the X40 is user-friendly, offering an easy mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only drawback is that it's still quite a noisy unit which could be an issue if you use it in the morning before work, or at night when you try to fall asleep.
It's also a bit expensive, though it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally powerful and look better. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient, but it's more expensive and make more noise.
iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with a variety of sophisticated features to help you get rid of your chores. Like Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes the care of mopping and vacuuming, with a multi-function dock that automatically empties the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank and washes and dries its mop pads.
The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floorplans and identify obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its top competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time hazards detection however this was not foolproof in our tests and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.
Its vacuum has a high maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also comes with a feature known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas in the home based on how dirty those areas are.
For larger homes it's recommended to choose one that has zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean a particular area of your home by using the app or voice commands. A stairway mode is useful if you own a lot furniture. For families that are busy, a recharge function and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to resume where it left off can be very beneficial.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you might think from its price. It's a pro at vacuuming, removing 55% of debris in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with one pad that has an oscillating motion that cleans better than most of the other mop cleaners for robots we've tried. And it's highly self-sufficient with a fully-featured app as well as an auto-emptying washable base.
The well-designed iRobot app guides you through an initial mapping exercise that collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. You can use it to create cleaning schedules, plan the perfect spot for cleaning or prioritize your most filthy rooms for better performance. The app has a range of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
It is also able to reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It has a powerful 8000 Pascal suction, as well as sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also create a spot-cleaner which will thoroughly clean the area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's more appealing, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It does a great job vacuuming, but it's more likely to be stuck on low thresholds. It also has a higher noise than other top robot vacuums that we have tested. It also comes with an app that is less intuitive and a small base station that doesn't double as a bin for emptying.
